Susan Gleason
Lead Susan Gleason has been a Sweet Adeline for over thirty years and sings with the Great Lakes Chorus in Sterling Heights. She has performed with numerous successful quartets, earning five Regional Quartet Championships with “A Touch of Magic” and “Accolade” (with Novelty Shop bass Lynne Peirce). Susan is a visual presentation coach for several choruses and quartets in both Sweet Adelines and the Barbershop Harmony Society. Raised by a father barbershopper and mother opera singer, Susan developed her stage savvy in musical theater. A graduate of Western Michigan University, Susan works in Risk Management for CO-OP Financial Services. Susan lives on a beautiful lake in Waterford with her sweet and petite kitty Zorro and spends as much time out on her boat as her schedule allows. She is engaged to barbershopper and brand new “BOB” Jeff Spires. Susan and Jeff are planning a late spring wedding.

Lynne Pierce
Bass Lynne Peirce has been a Sweet Adeline since 1985. A certified director in both the Sweet Adelines organization and Barbershop Harmony Society, Lynne directed the 2003 Pioneer District Chorus Champion Huron Valley Harmonizers for five years and currently directs the County Connection Chorus in Ypsilanti. Lynne is also an active coach and arranger, and serves as the Administrative Education Coordinator for Sweet Adelines Region 17. Lynne sang bass in the 1991 and 1993 Regional Champion Quartet "Accolade" (with Novelty Shop lead Susan Gleason), and captured a fourth place finish in 1997 with "Fandangle", where she shared the stage (but gave up the spotlight!) to her then 18 year old daughter Sara Clevenger. Lynne lives in Ann Arbor with fellow barbershopper Tom and they share five grown children, two Boxer granddogs and a grandcat and three of their own cats. She enjoys cooking, camping, traveling and “down time with Tom” in front of a crackling fire with the latest Janet Evanovich novel. In her professional life, Lynne is a manager of training and organizational development at the University of Michigan Hospitals and serves as the University of Michigan Company Captain for the American Heart Association Heart Walk.
